01/02/2021 - 01/03/2021 Solo & Ensemble Festival for Brass & Percussion

We will be running a Solo and Ensemble Festival. It is a fun and free event for band members and friends, aimed at keeping the wonderful spirit of Lydney banding alive and well.
Who can enter?
All members and friends of Lydney Band, including Kerry’s students.
What are the player categories?
Adjudicator - Thomas Dunne MSc, MMus, BMus (Hons) – Lydney Town Band’s Musical Director. All competitors will receive comments from the adjudicator on their performance.
Ensembles - Ensemble entries can be made up of a minimum of two individuals or can be made by the same individual(s) using multi-track. There are no age restrictions and a mixture of adult and child ensembles are encouraged.
Recording your entry - Entries need to be a digital video of a complete performance and formats such as .mp4 and .mov are good. You can use a video you have previously recorded, provided it has not already been used on the Lydney Band Open Mic or used in another competition.

Closing date 1st March 2021 - All entries should be made as a video in landscape orientation and sent to Kerry Ford via email (kerryford19@gmail.com), WeTransfer (www.wetransfer.com) or WhatsApp. Entries will be accepted from 1st February 2021. Entries for those aged 16 years or under will need to be made by a parent or guardian. Entry means you are agreeing for your child’s performance to be posted and viewed on the bands private and public facebook page.

- Class A - 11 and Under Brass Solo
- Class B - 12 to 16 Brass Solo
- Class C - Open Brass Slow Melody
- Class D - Open Brass Technical Solo
- Class E - Open Percussion Solo
- Class F - Open Ensemble (Duet, Trio, Quartet, etc.)
